Back to school. Yesterday I made a new friend at my orientation for my masters program in social work.
School starts next week. This is incredibly weird and exciting!
So I’m not by any means a “gym rat”. I never really even worked out until I started dating my girlfriend. Not because I thought I needed to lose weight, but because I needed to be healthy and feel good.
I have been training for a 10k for the past 2 months. It has been incredibly hard. The first time I ran 4 miles my girlfriend pushed me and I didn’t think I could make it, but last Friday night I ran 4 miles without stopping or hesitating or dying.
It’s been quite a journey and I just realized today that my body has changed. I did some before and afters.
By no means am I trying to super skinny or so thin. I am just pretty amazed at what fitness can do for you. I never thought I’d see a change in my body like that.
I have also been doing yoga once a week.
Trust me this hasn’t been easy. I swear before this year I set foot in a gym ONCE and that was it. Hard work and some good fun cardio music can get you going.
Now back to my dapper outfits and bow ties!

I work there actually. Although the 25th is my last day. I am going back to school to get my masters in social work.
Although I play guitar and sing. I am not Juilliard material by any means.
